Valentine’s Dessert Board

For a romantic and special take on a dessert board for Valentine’s Day, this board full of treats is set to make your partner fall even more in love. Make your own Tahini Choc Balls with love and put it together with some mouth-watering chocolate and fruits.

Ingredients

Tahini Choc Balls
10 medjool dates, pitted
1/2 raw walnuts
3/4 cup raw pecans
1/4 cup unhulled tahini
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
5 tablespoons cacao powder
 1/2 cup dark choc chips, roughly chopped
1 teaspoon desiccated coconut

Board
1/3 cup dark choc chips, melted
500g strawberries
300g cherries
250g raspberries
125g blackberries
180g dark chocolate macadamia
110g dark
85% organic chocolate
120g dark chocolate freeze dried strawberries
130g dark chocolate blueberries
280g dark chocolate
Turkish delight

Method

  1. To make the choc tahini balls, place dates, walnuts, pecans, tahini, salt, cinnamon and cacao powder in a high-speed blender. Blend until you have a dough consistency. Be sure to scrape the edges and combine ingredients well.
  2. Add chocolate chips and mix again until combined.
  3. Roll the dough into balls and sprinkle desiccated coconut. Chill in the freezer for 20 minutes.
  4. Melt the remaining chocolate chips in the microwave for 1 minute 30 seconds. Dip half of the strawberries in the chocolate. Place the chocolate coated strawberries on a plate to chill in the fridge for 20 minutes.
  5. Plate your board starting with the chocolate tahini balls, chocolate coated strawberries, fresh strawberries, cherries, raspberries, blackberries and the remaining chocolate assortment.
