The health and safety of our customers and retailers has always been our top priority. We are committed to ensuring the centre remains a safe and clean place to visit, while we continue to support the needs of the community.
Here’s what we are doing to ensure our centre remains clean and hygienic when you visit:
✔️ Hand sanitiser stations available at entries and at busy cluster points (with even more on the way!)
✔️ Cleaning rotations every 20 minutes in busy areas such as bathrooms and food areas
✔️ Daily hospital grade cleaning
✔️ Centre security monitoring social distancing
✔️ Signage reminding all to social distance, at entries and throughout the centre
✔️ Signs in front of retail shopfront outlining how many people are allowed in each store
✔️ Ongoing staff support and training to keep you safe
✔️ Regular Public Announcements, every 10 minutes reminding our customers to social distance
✔️ Providing queuing aids to our retailers including floor stickers and bollards
✔️ Introduction of high-vis vests for our cleaning and security team for easier identification within the centre
✔️ Distribution of hand sanitisers to customers and retailers

WHAT DOES THE EASING OF GOVERNMENT RESTRICTIONS MEAN FOR US?
Northbridge Plaza and our other managed centres in NSW, have been working proactively with each individual retailer to assist with their opening plans so that they can open for trade and be ready to welcome their customers back in store. This includes how they open in accordance with social distancing restrictions, updating customers and promoting businesses through our digital and social platforms and assisting them in whatever way we can to transition them back into a fully operational mode.
WHAT ARE WE DOING AS MORE PEOPLE HEAD OUT?
We have been following government and health authority advice and have taken every step to keep our centre clean and safe and all social distancing practices are being adhered to. We are proud of our community; everyone has been doing the right thing and supporting each other through social distancing and safe health and hygiene practices. We have had extra cleaning and security staff training, and this will continue. All in-centre signage will remain in place reminding customers of these social distancing rules supported by regular Public Announcements. We will monitor the situation diligently and respond immediately if required.
HOW ARE WE GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND TO KEEP YOU SAFE?
Whilst always being vigilant with cleaning procedures, we have implemented additional cleaning measures in recent times, including nightly deep cleaning of furniture and bathrooms and have also installed extra hand sanitiser stations throughout the centre in high touch point locations.
HOW ARE WE MONITORING SOCIAL DISTANCING?
We are actively managing and monitoring social distancing throughout the centre via security, signage and occasionally police to ensure that the restrictions are being maintained. At this stage, to effectively manage social distancing and hygiene and to comply with government advice, we recommend ordering food via. takeaway and consuming off premises as we are restricted to accommodating limited numbers in seated areas (in accordance with government advice).
WHEN WILL OUR EVENTS AND ACTIVATIONS BE RETURNING?
We are closely monitoring government advice to determine when it will be appropriate to resume in centre activations. In the meantime, we are planning what initiatives will take place later in the year to provide you with an exciting calendar to suit the needs of our community.
